FRACTURED
LINES- by Jen McLaughlin
October 2014
BOOK
BLURB:
The lines we
once crossed so easily have widened and torn us apart…
Once upon a time
I thought Finn and I would live happily ever after, but real life doesn't always
have a happy ending. He's testing my trust, and I'm losing faith in the man I
thought I'd spend the rest of my life with, and there’s nothing I can do to
stop it. He’s the one I trusted to keep me safe, but now he’s the source of my
greatest pain…
Forgiveness is
fragile, and some fractures never fully heal...
One mistake—a
slip in a moment of weakness—might cost me everything I've worked so hard for.
The thing about trust is that it's a lot easier to lose than it is to build.
Just as I'm about to give up and surrender to the demons from my past, an
unexpected threat reminds me what I'm best at: protecting the woman I love.
Whether or not she wants me, I will fight for Carrie and our daughter, and I
will keep them safe—no matter the cost.
Even if I have
to put my life and my heart on the line.
Review
This is a standalone novel but i suggest you read all the books as you will get to know why a character reacts that way or acts out or etc. but even if you dont there are recaps of what goes on in the other books so you aren't totally lost.
In the previous book Finn and Carrie had gotten there HEA but this book look into 3 yrs after the got married and now have a daughter named Susan ,we are shown that there life isn't always perfect and in a REAL marriage there are ups and down .
Finn is struggling and had a slip up,Carrie is outraged that he kept it from her again and asks him to leave. Finn then swears to never fall back again and believes that the only thing that can make him better is Carrie and the love they have for each other but Carrie disagrees and believes that he needs help from a therapist and she cannot help him and this causes more fights between them and so on
Along with their fights there is new problem going on a man wants to kill Carrie because of what her father did to his daughter, her father tell Finn about and also that he knows whats going on between them .he arranges a weekend off to a cabin and Carrie surprisingly agrees.
During the weekend you will see more fighting and super sexy scenes which will make and break your heart.
There's a lot more which happens in the book which i cant tell you because it will ruin the whole book for you;Anyway it was a great read and was beautifully written with the author focusing on the main points about how they had to work it out to make their marriage work and how that you have to fight for you loved ones and how getting over stuff is not easy.
Recommended: to those people who like beautiful books with real life problems and realistic features.
Ratings:3.5 stars
